Ø Why shouldn’t I
hire a guy with an old pick up truck that stops by and offers to take my
trash away cheap? Two problems. First, is he insured? You do not need liability problems if he
gets hurt on your property or unpaid repair costs for damage to your
property. Second, you could be liable
for fines and legal action if the debris is dumped in the wrong location. Ø Are there any
items that would cost extra? The most common added costs are for mattress and box springs, tires, car batteries, and freon units (refrigerators, a/c units, etc.) Just give us a call if you have any items that you are not sure of. Ø Why shouldn’t I
arrange for a dumpster? First, dumpsters have wheels, and regardless of
how careful a driver is, damage may result depending on the age and stability
of your driveway or the wetness of your lawn. Either surface may worsen depending on the weight loaded into
the dumpster. Second, it’s difficult
to prevent other people from dumping additional items or illegal waste into
the dumpster when unattended. Ø What if I have
only one item like a sofa, stove, desk, etc.? No problem.
